What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaping/Maintenance position at HiEmployment?
Position: Grounds Landscaping or Golf Maintenance Crew positions available
Type: Full-Time
**Morning shifts - days may change based on operational needs**
Location: Koloa
**No Experience Required**
Knowledge & Skills of Grounds Crew Person:
- Ability to operate properly, various machines and tools used in landscape maintenance, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and general safety practices
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and their correct application to include general cleaning, proper pruning techniques, weed control, watering and recognition of common insect pests
- Learn the common plant names and how to care for the variety of plants used on the property
- Load greenery and dispose accordingly
- Physically able to lift 20-50 pounds frequently
- Remove debris from worksite
- The ability to learn and perform various physical tasks
- Golf course maintenance-training provided
- Willing to learn a new career
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work outdoors in most conditions
- Valid driver’s license
