Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our educational team for early childhood, preschool, and kindergarten through grade 12 classrooms. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students when their regular teacher is unavailable. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering student development.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans
- Help develop lesson plans when none are provided
- Classroom Management
- Interact and engage students in various activities
- Provide support to lead teacher and students of diverse backgrounds
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents
- Assist in the development of lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student participation
Skills
- Experience working with children and teens
- Strong skills in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities and autism.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Background in early childhood education is preferred.
- Familiarity with private school or Montessori teaching methods is a plus.
