Position Summary
HiFyve is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Specialist to join our team. The specialist will be responsible for managing the development and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring consistency across locations to meet corporate standards and expectations, developing instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications in compliance with recognized industry and safety standards, and creating technical evaluations to support the selection of instrumentation and control systems. The specialist will also assist in the technical development and updates of plant project P&IDs, support I&E project scheduling and manpower planning, oversee the conversion of DCS systems, and ensure adequate training and staffing for the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems. In addition to these responsibilities, the specialist will maintain a high degree of reliability for all controls, instrumentation, and emission monitoring systems, develop safety programs to maintain safe working conditions, and respond to and resolve instrumentation and control issues, including emergency situations.
Key Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician or equivalent role in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in Fisher-Rosemount's DeltaV and digital control systems
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, attorneys, and local community leaders
- Familiarity with industry-standard safety practices and technical specifications
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively during emergency downtime situations
