Responsibilities
- Assess equipment needs prior to scheduled shutdowns and develop appropriate plans.
- Develop project scheduling charts for scheduled work timelines.
- Schedule and coordinate internal and external labor to meet required work completion.
- Assign, distribute, and collect completed work orders from labor teams.
- Follow up on completed work, identifying duration and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert of the CMMS.
- Generate and distribute work orders for routine maintenance activities.
- Input relevant information into the CMMS and analyze work order progress.
- Communicate progress/status to stakeholders and generate maintenance KPI reports.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for HVAC systems, lighting, compressors (including air dryers), generators, and boilers.
- Coordinate spare parts inventory
- Manage scheduled parts for routine maintenance.
- Create and maintain critical work instructions and checklists for the department.
- Initiate the purchasing process for the maintenance department.
- Enter requisitions for labor or parts into the system before work completion.
- Monitor project work to ensure accurate capture of maintenance spend for budgeting purposes.
Education/Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Technology, or relevant maintenance work experience is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in time management, priority setting, and decision-making.
- Knowledge of 2D CAD design is preferred.
