HiFyve is hiring a Quality Engineer in the manufacturing industry in Riverside, MO!
Salary: $85K - $95K/yr (depending on experience)
Shift: Day shift, full-time
Location: Riverside, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead quality engineering activities focused on continuous process improvement using standard problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.
- Utilize lean fundamentals to enhance product and process quality through new product development support, supplier development, and customer return analysis.
- Create standard work procedures for digital metrology inspections.
- Lead structured team problem-solving activities related to customer complaints, warranty issues, audits, and other internal/external quality data sources.
- Disposition non-conforming parts to suppliers and track supplier performance scorecards.
- Maintain supplier defect information and oversee 8D responses and corrective actions.
- Perform QMS internal audits, assign non-conformances, and support corrective action efforts.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools, including FMEA, control plans, GR&R, PPAP, and process capability development.
- Support inspection efforts, including the completion of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and customer source inspections.
- Maintain controlled documentation, including creation and revisions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a related field with experience in a Quality function.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in fabrication and/or machining environments (strongly preferred).
- Experience using PolyWorks or other digital metrology software.
- Proficiency with FARO Arms and Laser Trackers.
- Familiarity with APQP tools and PPAP processes.
- Strong understanding of welding and machining of large fabrications.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
- Thorough understanding of GD&T.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and drive quality improvements.
- Leadership abilities to guide groups of peers from production and quality control.
