Role Description
Downtown Providence insurance defense firm looking to add a litigation associate with 3-5 years of defense experience to our team. Excellent academic credentials with proven skills in writing, analysis and research are required. Candidate MUST be licensed to practice law in Rhode Island. The associate will work in all aspects of litigation including depositions, motions, legal research, court conferences, client meetings, and trials. The associate’s focus will be in civil litigation, with a concentration in insurance defense litigation. Qualifications
- Experience in providing legal advice and conducting research
- Negotiation skills
- Research skills
- Strong understanding of legal principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Bar membership in Rhode Island required, Massachusetts, or Connecticut a bonus
