Who We Are:
High Country Pain Relief is a privately owned, Non-Medical, Alternative Therapeutic-based practice, hiring a “full time” position. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk / Dr.'s Assistant. Hours would be: Roughly 28 hrs /45min.

*Full-time employment in North Carolina is typically considered to be between 30 and 40 hours per week.

Our main objective is to help keep our patients happy and our office run efficiently, while working with compassion and patience for a diverse age group. We treat college athletes to the elderly and people are in pain when they come to us...

We are located in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center at 240 Shadowline Drive Suite A6 Boone NC 28607. Our practice environment is moderately paced to high energy.

The Front Desk / Doctors Assistant position has to be someone capable and comfortable with both responsibilities and have good computer skills. We are an Apple-Mac based office. Our new employee should also understand basic medical terminology, be knowledgeable on Anatomy and Physiology and be eager to learn new software.

The individual applying for this job must currently align themselves with our philosophy of health and wellness. They must exhibit a passion for safe/non-invasive natural alternative modalities and be willing to stand all day. This is not a “sit-down” position. You will be expected to be on your feet and moving all day. You will be expected to keep the front desk space clean and organized.

Job Summary:

  • Administrative responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, sending/receiving patients’ text messages. Monitoring Emails, sending/receiving faxes, maintaining products and supply inventory.
  • Clinical tasks may include taking patient medical histories, preparing and cleaning examination/treatment area, recording patient vital signs, weighing/measuring, documenting session notes and disinfecting equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors and patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing callers needs effectively.
  • Help new patients schedule appointments and makes sure that follow up appointments are made in a timely manner.
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide information about services and amenities. Provide an office tour.
  • Collect detailed health history reports for each patient.
  • Measure and record vital signs including weight and blood pressure
  • Assists with treatment procedures such as setting up and taking patients off of therapies and putting treatment suites back in order.
  • Cleans and sanitizes rooms between patient visits.
  • Help patients feel safe and comfortable during non-invasive therapies such as SoftWave, PEMF, Back On Trac / Hako-Med or Red Light therapy.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry and printing extra documents for office clipboards.
  • Basic office tasks such as collecting trash, wiping down counters.
  • Collecting Credit Card payments. Manage CareCredit payments. Handle patient billing and payment issues and counting back change.
  • Ensuring and Maintaining a clean bathroom at all times.
  • Taking inventory of supplies and reordering when necessary.
  • Keeping the office area tidy and organized at all times.
  • Helping patients with product purchases and educational handouts.
  • Prioritizing phone calls with questions for the doctor/owners.
  • Helping the office stay on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer support role is preferred.
  • 2 years in Health care / Wellness industry.
  • Strength to help patients with mobility issues.
  • Stamina for long hours on your feet.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to give compassionate care to all types of people.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills..
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing outstanding service.

Training:

You will train one-on-one with one of the owners/between 1 and 2 months, depending on your progress. You are required to study training / protocol manual and optional online Modules for certificate.

Benefits:

A new hire can expect these types of benefits from working at our company. We offer paid time off and certain paid holidays after a 90-day probationary period. Paid 1 week vacation time after one year.

Our Hours:

Monday Morning 8:30 to 1:00 [4 hours 30 minutes] and Afternoon 2:45 to 6:30 [3 hours 45 minutes] = 8* hours 15 min *

Tuesdays Afternoon 1:30 to 5:30 = 4 hours

Wednesdays Morning 8:30 to 1:00 [4 hours 30 minutes] and Afternoon 2:45 to 6:30 [3 hours 30 minutes] = = 8* hours 15 min*

Thursday Morning 7:30 to 12:00 [4 hours 30 minutes] and Afternoon 1:45 to 5:30 [3 hours 45 minutes] = 8* hours 15 min. *

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
