What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Compliance and Safety position at High Country Search Group?
Comp is 140-165K plus bonus. Located east Commerce City or north east Aurora.
- Principle point of contact for all contract management related matters on assigned programs.
- Organize and perform administrative and management functions required for timely and compliant contract performance.
- Evaluate proposals to ensure contract requirements are adequately defined and documented.
- Identify contract risks, and make recommendations to mitigate or eliminate such risks.
- Assemble for submission to government and Welch Equipment Sr. management information on engineering changes, proposals, contract modifications, price proposals and shipping documents.
- Ensure that contract activities are in full compliance with legal/governmental requirements.
- Assist with preparation of additional data or correspondence as may be required by management or the provisions of the contract.
- Interpret contract language and disseminate to company personnel.
- Conduct price and/or cost negotiations with the Government or Agencies.
- Analyze and review reports to ensure that costs, schedule, and performance under assigned government or company programs are being controlled and managed within established guidelines.
- Interact with Government Contract Officers (Procurement Contract Officer and Administrative Contract Officer), and other company representatives.
- Oversee daily operation of Welch Equipment safety program and support the needs of the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist.
- Report any safety requirements to agencies that require reporting.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Warehouse Management Policies. Craft appropriate policies where needed
- Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional/domestic regulations and company policy
- Leads initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates
- Establishes high quality relationships with both site and regional leadership
- Measure site’s performance against published requirements in EHS policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. Drive accountability for the plan
- Analyze metrics and review incident trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the Safety risk is highest.
- Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent
- Must be able to work flexible shifts which could include day, nights, and weekends
- Coordinate the efficient operation of all facilities necessary to manage the distribution and usage of all utilities & reduce costs
- Handle all yearly evaluations, attendance, vacations, and all disciplinary reviews of maintenance personnel
- Manage facility contracts and work with internal and external stakeholders for right sizing existing facilities and/or consolidation or expansion of existing facilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years Health, Safety & Environmental experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management, Industrial background preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, PSM, and RMP regulations
- 6 plus years of experience in contracts
- Knowledge of Safety programs
- Knowledge of environmental laws impacting the transportation and logistics industry intermediate required
- Working knowledge of Government contracting and Compliance programs
Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
