Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in establishing this new branch of our practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, eager to contribute to a new and dynamic practice, and committed to providing exceptional medical services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our expansion, working alongside skilled healthcare professionals to shape the future of patient care at HDSC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions while promoting preventive healthcare strategies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
- Uphold High Desert Specialty Care’s standards of excellence, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centered service.
- Participate in the development of protocols and best practices for the new practice.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an NP (experience in primary care, internal medicine, or diagnostic services is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures, treatment planning, and patient care strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable with EHR systems and technology-driven patient care solutions.
