High Halo Boarding Kennels is Wichita’s premier pet boarding facility. Since 1967, High Halo Boarding Kennels has been growing and cultivating the trust of pet owners. We want owners to know that our educated staff is providing for their family pet with a happy, healthy and safe environment.
This work can be physically demanding
Duties:
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication to pets.
- Sanitation and cleaning of pet enclosures and the facility.
- Monitor and maintain the health of all canine & feline guests.
- Perform other various duties assigned.
- Maintain parking lot and sidewalks during winter (shovel snow, ice melt).
- Communicate with clients in a compassionate and professional way on either the status of their pet, or any questions they may have.
- Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment and recall information well.
- Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling.
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
- Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. referral documentation, previous medical history received, etc.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Self-awareness, disease control, & an understanding of animal body language are important aspects in the animal welfare field.
AVAILABILITY SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAY WEEKS/WEEKENDS ARE MANDATORY
Shifts are any time between 7am-7pm
Customer Service experience preferred or ability to learn within a timely manner following hire date.
Physical requirements:
- Physical requirements for the position include standing, walking, lifting (50lbs), carrying (50lbs), bending, and reaching overhead for a minimum 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to work outside in different weather conditions (snow, rain, heat).
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Work in area with high noise level
