Guest Services Job Description
The perfect Guest Services team member ensures smooth operations by producing excellent customer service. They will respond to all inquiries in a professional and courteous manner by providing accurate and timely information and services. They ensure guest charges are processed accurately and maintain the organization and reservations sales procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· A friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor is a requirement, constant smiling ensures every guest interaction is delivered in the most helpful and personable way.
· Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential and current guests.
· Understands and completes the booking process and PMS accurately, upselling when possible.
· Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality of service.
· Responds to telephone, email, social media, and in-person inquiries regarding hotel and/or restaurant reservations.
· Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increasing occupancy and revenue is the goal!
· Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
· Accepts hotel and restaurant reservations, changes, cancellations and processes check-ins, check-outs, and cancellation fees.
· Prepares documentation for guest arrivals including registration cards, welcome letters, and any arrival amenities.
· Schedule massage therapists for upcoming massage requests.
· Create and update weekly schedule and kitchen schedule as changes occur ensuring accurate and constant communication between departments.
· Alert necessary departments and leadership as clients' requests change and if an adjustment to employee schedules might be warranted.
· Maintain restaurant reservations and print the reservation list for accurate hosting.
· Assists restaurant as needed, covering host stand and assisting servers.
· Secure menu changes from the kitchen, update all menus, print, and distribute.
· Assist with events as requested and scheduled by leadership and/or the Event Coordinator.
· File documents accordingly and assist in maintaining an organized shared workspace.
· Assists the team with office inventory.
· Performs other duties as requested by leadership.
· Social media experience is a plus. Assisting with daily social media postings of ongoing and upcoming events, weekly specials, and High Hill culture.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
