What are the responsibilities and job description for the Costing Analyst position at High Life LLC?
We are seeking a Costing Analyst to partner with our Executive Vice President of Sales and Licensing as well as internal teams such as Production, Sales, and Finance. This person will support the building of costing framework for our growing activewear business, working with a variety of styles for leading brands sold to mass market retailers, e-commerce, and department stores.
Responsibilities:
- Act as intermediary between the Production team, Sales team, Executive Vice President of Sales and Licensing, and Chief Financial Officer to gather and provide costing information to support the approval process
- Validate costing by referencing historical prices and garment construction of similar styles
- Work with Production team to gather costing and organize for review
- Work with Sales team on requests for costs and present findings to management for alignment
- Support the Finance team with budgeting by ensuring information is centralized and accurate
- Assist in managing the seasonal calendar to ensure that timelines are being met for each department (including Design CADs being sent, Sales team costing sent, etc.)
- Build and maintain the template used to compare items and costs on a season-to-season basis
- Convert approved buys to rollup summary for projections by account, season, and brand
- Organize brand and account CADs with cost information
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (Costing, Production, Sourcing, Operations, etc. in apparel industry)
- Knowledge of apparel, fabrications, and styles
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and follow up skills
- Proven experience prioritizing and providing accurate information in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and partner with cross functional teams
Annual salary starting at $70,000
