Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
- Conduct dental fabrications such as crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Provide specialized care in prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all dental procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Utilize medical imaging technologies for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral health care, preventive measures, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
- Experience or training in general dentistry; additional skills in prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, or other specialties are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on the latest advancements in dentistry.
