We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented person to join our team as Credit Quality Assurance Specialist.
Your Mission
You will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our loan processes, conducting thorough reviews and audits of loan files, and ensuring that all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with both internal policies and external regulations. You will be responsible for identifying and addressing any errors or discrepancies, providing support and training to lending staff, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our credit administration processes.

The Day to Day
Your daily work will include conducting post-booking loan file reviews, ensuring all documents are properly executed and accurate. You will assist with compliance requirements and perform quarterly loan reviews of new commercial loans. You will also handle construction loan files and verify draw requests. Additionally, you will monitor exception lists, provide training to staff, and maintain documentation standards.
What You Bring to High Plains Bank
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Business Administration or similar degree is a plus

- Proficiency in Microsoft or Google Suite
- Strong computer skills and the ability to coordinate between multiple computer systems
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of lending rules (including but not limited to consumer and commercial lending, Flood, adverse action, HMDA, TRID, CRA and 1071)

Responsibilities of the Position
Key Accountabilities
- Compliance and Loan Reviews/Audits
- Post-Booking Loan File Review
- Loan/Credit Admin Department Support
- Construction Draws
- Maintenance of Documentation Standards
Other Responsibilities
- Manage the process of flood zone changes
- Help with various loan-related compliance tasks
- Review new commercial loans
- Check and ensure accuracy of loan documents
- Provide reports to management
- Monitor exception lists and help with complex issues
- Assist staff with training and guidance
- Complete quarterly QCD Audit
- Teach customers about construction draw processes
- Ensure construction draw requests and lien waivers are compliant
- Coordinate with inspection companies
- Submit and fund approved construction draws
