Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for the organization’s overall technology infrastructure, network systems, and day-to-day IT operations. The CTO provides leadership to the Systems team and the Support team, ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s IT environment. The CTO collaborates with the CIO and other executives to align IT operations with the organization’s strategic goals while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties
- IT Infrastructure and Network Oversight: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, cloud environments, and telecommunications.
- Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and provide guidance to the Systems team and Support team. Foster a culture of collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
- Day-to-Day IT Operations Management: Ensure the smooth operation of IT services, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Provide guidance and leadership on ticket resolution, help desk operations, and user support to maintain high service levels.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Work closely with Systems team to implement best practices for securing IT infrastructure. Monitor and address security risks, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity measures.
- Collaboration with the CIO: Partner with the CIO to ensure IT infrastructure and operations support the organization’s broader strategic goals, particularly in areas involving enterprise applications, EHR systems, and data analytics.
- Vendor and Service Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective delivery of IT solutions, including hardware, software, and network services.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to IT systems, network usage, and user access. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Technology Planning and Upgrades: Evaluate emerging technologies and plan for upgrades and improvements to IT infrastructure to meet organizational needs and growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and or;
- 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including management of IT infrastructure and support services.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, ITIL, or related certifications) are a plus.
- Proven experience in managing IT networks, systems, and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Demonstrated success in leading IT teams and managing day-to-day IT operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments and levels of the organization.
- Vendor and contract management experience, including negotiation and performance evaluation.
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improvements.
