Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in both commercial and residential settings, with a focus on high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report any maintenance issues.
- Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities.
- Engage in residential painting projects when necessary to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management when supplies are low.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in commercial cleaning practices is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with custodial duties in various settings (industrial, residential).
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
