Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling and patient management.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Assist in endodontic treatments and other specialized dental procedures.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry by making children feel comfortable during their visits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and vital signs monitoring is essential.
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Understanding of endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and medical imaging will be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred.
