Sales Intern - Summer

The High Point Rockers are looking for an enthusiastic Group Sales Intern to provide support to our management team excellent customer service to our patrons.  A Group Sales Intern assists the Director of Sales and Sales Executives in the day-to-day operation of the Group Sales Department. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  This role provides an ideal opportunity to learn the full group sales process in the sport and entertainment industry.

·       Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance. 

 

·       Answering phones and communicating game progress 

·       Assisting the group sales department daily

·       Assisting with special group events such as scout nights, school and kids days, church nights, youth baseball clinics, birthday and team parties, etc.

·       Assuring proper signage for group areas is correct and in place each day

·       Daily set-up of all group hospitality areas

·       Personally interact with fans and patrons you encounter

·       Processing payment by phone order

·       Representing organization in the community

·       Scheduling parties and confirming details and logistics

·       Delivering pocket schedules

·       Interact with fans before, during and after the games

·       Keeping upbeat atmosphere before, during and after games

·       Other duties as assigned

·       Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks

·       Ability to work effectively in a team environment

·       Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

·       Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment

·       Previous sports experience a plus, but not required

·       Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented

·       Ability to stand for up to 5 hours during a game 

·       Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays

·       Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
