Yard Foreman

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Foreman to oversee daily operations at our construction yard. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of wood product manufacturing. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality control of materials and equipment, as well as managing the logistics of our yard operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily yard activities, ensuring compliance to company policies.
• Oversee that the company's safety regulations are being met.
• Oversee the quality control of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Train and mentor yard staff, teaching a culture of teamwork and accountability.
• Conduct regular inspections of the yard to maintain organization and cleanliness.
• Able to work with panel yard management to achieve these goals.

Qualifications

• Bilingual with English and Spanish.
• Proven experience in supervising yard operations within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
• Ability to perform quality control checks on materials and equipment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making abilities.
• Basic computer skills are a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
