Company Overview:
Highrise Products is an architectural metal fabrication firm, specializing in railing systems and miscellaneous metal fabrication. Located in St. Cloud, MN, our products are proudly made in the USA and distributed nationwide. We are growing and looking to add a talented Press Brake Programmer/Operator to join our exceptional team. This role will serve as our primary Press Brake Operator, and will also offer vast opportunities for growth as we plan to introduce new machinery in our fabrication department. We will depend on this team member for both operation and valuable insights. The ideal candidate will bring a “Jack of all trades” mindset.
Job Description:
- Develop complex programming as well as perform setups on Press Brake, utilizing part drawings and bend simulations (tolerances)
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum and steel)
- Ensure machines are calibrated and cleaned regularly
- Read and interpret shop drawings, submittals and fabrication plans
- Perform spot inspections of parts in maintaining accurate part specifications and quality standards
- Execute forming operations using standard and custom tooling
- Perform general maintenance on machine as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all safety policies are followed, wear proper PPE
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience with the programming*, layout and operation of a Press Brake, preferably in a custom metal fabrication shop
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop/fabrication drawings.
- Expertise in layout to fabricate precision parts with a tolerance of /- 0.060
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. regularly
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be a team player
- Able to work overtime when necessary
Willing to change tasks within the shop as workload necessitates
*Programming experience from start to finish including making own tooling changes is preferred, however candidates with basic programming knowledge (ability to make adjustments) who are willing to learn are still encouraged to apply.
Job Type:
This is a full time, hourly position. Expected hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm, with occasional OT.
