Job Summary:

High Rollers Dispensary is seeking knowledgeable and passionate Budtenders to join our team. Budtenders are the face of our company and play a crucial role in providing high-quality service and cannabis education to our customers. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the latest trends in cannabis and possess a deep understanding of our products, their uses, and the industry regulations. Additionally, Budtenders should be comfortable with point of sales systems and cash management. High Rollers Dispensary anticipates that all Budtenders will embrace a collaborative team spirit, readily contributing to cleaning and administrative duties as needed to support the overall dispensary operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide an exceptional shopping experience by actively engaging with customers and recommending products based on their needs and preferences
• Consult with consumers in a friendly and conversational manner, educating them on the various product offerings and safe use methods
• A strong general understanding of cannabis, including different product forms, strains, effects, and methods of consumption, and the ability to educate customers on these topics
• A willingness to stay informed and participate in ongoing cannabis and service trainings
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current product offerings, including awareness of current inventory levels and ongoing promotions to provide accurate and comprehensive information to customers
• Accurately handle transactions using the point-of-sale system, ensuring payments are precisely collected and inventory is properly dispensed
• Respond to customer inquiries over the phone and website
• Address customer queries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Ability to follow and willingness to participate in opening, closing, and cash management procedures
• Maintain an organized and clean environment in all areas of the dispensary
• A willingness to participate in store cleaning and maintaining a safe and presentable environment for customers
• Ensuring all displays are attractively organized and are representative of current inventories
• Verify customer identification, confirming that customers are of a legal age to purchase cannabis
• Maintain an up to date understanding of current cannabis regulations and ensure operational compliance in all daily functions
• Promote a positive work environment that is customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or hospitality experience is preferred
• Cannabis industry experience or thorough cannabis knowledge is a plus
• Experience with and strong understanding of point-of-sale systems
• Experience with cash management policies
• Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Must be at least 21 years old

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• Previous retail or hospitality experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend or kneel repetitively
