- Providing leadership for the football program while focusing on the growth and success of the team.
- Overseeing the organization and scheduling of practices, games, and events and communicating this effectively to the football staff, team members and families.
- Managing the program’s budget and resources while working with the athletic department and school administration.
- Assisting in the recruitment and management of assistant coaches.
- Ability to build and strengthen the existing football program, setting high expectations for student-athletes and staff.
- Knowledge and experience to develop football skills, tactics, and strategies across all phases of the game, and ability to assist in the growth of the coaching staff.
- Development of a strategic plan to guide the football program’s growth and success, both short-term and long-term.
- Experience working within an advanced strength and conditioning program to enhance student-athletes’ overall performance and willingness to work with current staff
- Strong organizational skills to oversee clinics, summer camps, off-season programs, and staff meetings, ensuring alignment with program expectations.
- Maintain positive relationships with the media, families, and the community.
- ISBE or ASEP certification.
- Head coach experience at any level, or coordinating experience at the Varsity level, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
