Addison Community Schools is seeking an Athletic Trainer.  The athletic trainer works under the direction of the Athletic Director and the Superintendent.

The athletic trainer will:

• Provide preventive care for student-athletes
• Evaluate injuries, provide treatment, and develop rehabilitation programs
• Assess, treat, and manage concussions
• Maintain accurate medical records of students injuries, treatment, and rehabilitation
• Review student health records and consent forms in partnership with the school nurse and athletic department to assess eligibility
• Maintain a clean, professional and welcoming training room
• Manage inventory
• Prepare game sites for practice and competition
• Prepare medical kits for off campus competition
• Provide practice and game coverage of the middle school and high school athletic programs
• Train coaches and educate parents about preventive safety precautions regarding concussion, cardiac arrest, and heat illness

·         Administer baseline concussion testing
