Food Service Worker- Part Time

New Hope Solebury School District is seeking part time Food Service Workers/Cashiers to serve our K-12 students during lunch period.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Serve students, faculty and staff as well as set up and replenish serving lines.

• Prepares and serves drinks and foods such as sandwiches, salads, and other nutritious and quality foods.
• Provides menu information and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods (if requested).
• collecting and recording of monies received in a school day
• Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
• Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables.
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, counters, tables, serving lines, laundry, storage areas and other equipment; spills as appropriate to the kitchen area.
• Follow recipes
• Refills condiments or other supplies.
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions in various formats.
• Effective communication skills appropriate for the role.
• Ability to safely operate or work with cooking and food preparation equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn proper food handling and sanitation procedures
