Position Overview:
The High School Principal will play a key role in fostering an educational environment where students and staff thrive. This individual will lead the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs that align with the district’s goals and create a positive, collaborative school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Lead the development and execution of innovative educational programs, aligning with the district's PLC and PBIS philosophies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Curriculum & Instructional Improvement: Drive curriculum and instructional enhancements, in accordance with the district’s Continuous School Improvement Plan.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Establish and maintain policies and procedures that guide educational programs, student behavior, and interactions with parents and the community.
- School Management: Oversee student attendance, behavior management, school culture, and extracurricular activities.
- Program Evaluation: Collaborate with staff to develop and implement evaluation systems to assess and improve school programs.
- Staff Development: Identify needs for instructional specialists, supervise their work, and ensure continuous professional growth for all staff.
- Education Trends: Stay informed about the latest developments in education at the local, state, and national levels, and keep staff updated.
- Staff Supervision: Lead faculty meetings and provide ongoing professional development for staff within the framework of the district’s plan.
- Personnel Decisions: Conduct staff evaluations and make recommendations regarding hiring, retention, promotion, and assignment of staff.
- Community Engagement: Represent the school at community forums to foster strong relationships and support for the school’s educational goals.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all Board of Education policies, and maintain effective reporting and planning procedures for evaluating educational outcomes.
Compensation:
Between $98,000-$110,000. Salary is commensurate with experience.
