Lakeside High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Theatre Teacher to lead our thriving theatre arts program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and performance aspects of theatre and a commitment to cultivating creativity, collaboration, and excellence in the performing arts.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Theatre Teacher will work with the Theatre Department on the following annual events:

Fall Play

Winter Play

Spring Musical (collaborative production with vocal and instrumental music departments)
The successful candidate will also sponsor and support our active Thespian Troupe, providing students with opportunities to participate in theatre festivals, competitions, and community performances.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement a comprehensive theatre curriculum that fosters creativity and skill development across technical and performance disciplines.

Direct and produce high-quality theatrical productions, including casting, rehearsals, technical preparation, and performance.

Collaborate with music directors, choreographers, technical crews, and other faculty for the spring musical.

Supervise and mentor students participating in the Thespian Troupe and extracurricular theatre events.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.

Maintain budgets, manage production logistics, and coordinate facility usage as needed.

Participate in school events, professional development, and departmental meetings.
Salary ranges from a minimum ($51,000) to a maximum ($73,311) - based on the 2024/25 salary schedule for a 190 day contract. Salary is based on experience. A complete salary schedule can be found on our school website.
