What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Data Scientist position at High Side Technology?
High Side Technology has an immediate need for a senior-level software engineer or data scientist to support the research and engineering initiatives of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analysis programs for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and software systems engineering support in assessing new technologies for computer vision and structured observation data processing/management systems.
- Plan and support the transition of new technologies to operational GEOINT analysis systems.
- Collaborate with an integrated government/contractor team in supporting new technology research and engineering initiatives.
- Evaluate and inform new computer vision (CV) technologies, including specialized algorithms and machine learning (ML) models.
- Assess and evaluate new technologies for Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) capabilities.
- Develop system-level functional/performance requirements that are traceable from strategic capabilities to validated customer and operations needs/requirements.
Requirements:
- United States citizenship required.
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance or current Top Secret SSBI with TS/SCI eligibility required; counterintelligence (CI) polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- 8 years of experience.
Desired Experience:
- Mastery in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM fields.
- Expertise in data management or Big Data analysis.
- Experience integrating solutions using Cloud-based technologies.
- Senior level experience leading technology development and technical integration efforts.
The Engineer/Scientist will work on government sites and as part of a distributed multi-disciplinary team, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with government customers at all levels of authority and technical acuity.
