What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Network Security Engineer position at High Side Technology?
High Side Technology is looking to hire a Network Security Engineer, where you’ll leverage your expertise in network security architecture to strengthen national defense and counter evolving threats. You’ll enhance the security, reliability, and availability of enterprise datacenter networks supporting critical missions. Your knowledge of secure network design will be key in leading our team of problem-solvers to deploy mission-ready networks for USSPACECOM.
You Have:
- 5 years of experience working in a network engineering role
- 3 years of experience working with Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs)
- 3 years of experience creating and maintaining network drawings
- 3 years of experience applying STIGs for IA compliance
- Experience with networking protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, QoS, vPC/mLAG/cLAG, or vxLAN
- Knowledge of network security concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS) or intrusion prevention systems (IPS), network segmentation, VRFs, and traffic filtering
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- IAT Level II Certification, including Security CE or Cisco CCNA Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with software defined networks (SDN)
- Experience deploying virtual firewalls
- Experience with network designs using Zero Trust principles
- Knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
- Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering
- CCNA or CCNP Certification
- CASP or CISSP Certification
