Duties
- Operate CNC machines, including milling and turning centers, to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for production runs, including adjustments as necessary for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation, including knowledge of PlasmaCAM is required, other software knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with stamping press operations and sheet metal fabrication is desirable.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Knowledge of plasma cutting techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality inspections effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
