About the Job
The Shop Worker I will be responsible for maintaining the supplies lot, grounds, and facility to provide a clean and efficient working environment. They will also assist in loading and unloading field trucks with required supplies for efficient work on the jobs.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading field trucks with required supplies for efficient work on the jobs.
- Preparing and assembling signs, barricades, and other equipment for job sites as needed.
- Repairing and maintaining signage and traffic control supplies to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly supply lot and shop work environment, returning tools and equipment to designated locations.
- Assisting in other areas as needed to maintain the vehicles, grounds, and facility, such as cleaning and organizing of plant.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 0-1 years of experience required.
- Valid For Hire Endorsement with medical certificate and acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Company forklift license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled with hand tools preferred.
- Ability to follow all safety rules and communicate instances where safety was not followed.
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, self-motivated, and energetic.
- Excellent ability to work in a team-fostered environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours: possibly work weekends and/or evenings.
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and retention of information to efficiently work.
