The Pavement Marking Manager oversees all operations within the Pavement Marking department including job planning and scheduling, laborer training and coaching, and Pavement Marking asset management to ensure customer satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide strong customer support by responding in a timely fashion to scheduling requests, being proactive, courteous, and professional.
- Assist project managers with scheduling pavement marking operations, work crews, and equipment.
- Track all pavement marking department job cost, revenue, material inventory and usage tracking work for all contracts.
- Oversee project planning from contract acquisition to job completion for all aspects of pavement marking.
- Inspect and approve field logs to ensure accurate billing of pavement marking quantities.
- Assist to resolve quantity differences working through Quantity Verification reports.
- Facilitate and prepare change orders for projects as needed.
- Partner with AR department to follow up on collections inquiries as needed.
- Build rapport with the labor force in the field and at the shop, to drive efficiency and accountability.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other departments.
- Lead and manage weekly department L10 meetings.
- Manage and develop new hire and yearly laborer training.
- Participate in daily scheduling meetings.
- Other projects and initiatives that drive organizational goals and results.
- This position will oversee the Pavement Marking Supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent preferred. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- 5 years in Heavy Highway Construction, Traffic Control, or related field.
- Above average knowledge of MS Office and (ComputerEase a plus).
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a For Hire endorsement.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.
- Must have the ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations.
- Prior experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- Ability to uphold regulatory and company standards.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within the company and external organizations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours to include weekends and/or evenings.
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, self-motivated and energetic.

- This position will work in an enclosed shop environment but may travel to off-site locations and therefore require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, high-visibility safety vest and/or pants and/or steel toed footwear. At times client contract driven PPE may also be required.
