Job Summary:
The Shop Worker I is responsible for completing all tasks related to loading and unloading field trucks. They will maintain the supplies lot, grounds, and facility to provide a clean and efficient working environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verify quantities, load, and unload field trucks with required supplies for efficient work on the jobs.
- Prepare and assemble signs, barricades, and other equipment for job sites as needed.
- Repair and maintain signage and traffic control supplies to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Maintain a clean and orderly supply lot and shop work environment, returning tools and equipment to designated locations.
- Assist in other areas as needed to maintain the vehicles, grounds, and facility, such as cleaning and organizing of plant.
- Other projects and initiatives that drive organizational goals and results.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 0-1 years of experience required
- Valid For Hire Endorsement with medical certificate and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Company forklift license
Working Conditions:
- Work in an enclosed shop environment but may travel to off-site locations and therefore require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, make and put together road equipment, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds or more with lift assist
