Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and electrical systems. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects by accurately assessing costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all estimates align with project specifications and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on electrical components.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to develop project costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate pricing and budgeting.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for efficient estimation processes.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or materials.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to clarify project requirements and provide updates on estimates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly in electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using estimation software, including Bluebeam.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and contract review.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
