Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Conduct thorough market research to establish competitive pricing for materials and labor.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Skills
- Proficient in cost control techniques and methodologies.
- Experience using HeavyBid for estimating purposes is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favorable pricing outcomes.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
- Excellent project management skills, with an understanding of NEC standards.
