Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a low voltage technician to assist in projects related to fire alarm, video surveillance, access control, nurse call, clock programming, and sound, among others This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with various tools and technologies to ensure the effective operation of low voltage installations.

This position will work Monday-Thursday 10 hour days with possibilities of overtime as well.

Duties

• Install and maintain low voltage systems, including alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing installations to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize remote access software for system diagnostics and support.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement effective security solutions for clients.
• Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation practices for low voltage systems.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
• Stay updated on industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), to ensure compliance in all installations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with locksmithing techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of alarm system sales and telecommunication systems is beneficial.
• Proficiency in computer networking principles and practices.
• Experience working with various types of security systems and equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
