Job Summary:
The Logistics Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Customer Sales Representative and ensuring the business processes run smoothly and efficiently. They will provide technical as well as administrative support to the operations team, and may also help customers with technical or general support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Enters loads from customer tender into software system
- Schedules and/or reschedules delivery appointments for all loads
- Tracks and traces all shipments accordion to company policy
- Maintains customer profile information into our database
- Validates all load data prior to marking loads delivered
- Dispatches drivers to shipper in accordance with established procedures
- Communicates regularly with drivers and shipping personnel to ensure trucks are properly loaded
- Updates account managers on all relevant load information
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Qualifications:
- Must be highly organized
- Able to multitask
- Proficient in sales
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate
- Maintains calm and provides customer service under pressure
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
