Pay Rate: $53/hour
Gross pay: $1908/weekly
Pay Package for a Traveler (Based on 36 hours per week)
Gross pay: $2088/weekly
Taxable pay: $1150/weekly
Non-taxable: $938/weekly
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with mental health disorders in a compassionate and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations and assessments of patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress and behavior
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Perform specimen collection processing when necessary
- Assist in urgent care situations and crisis intervention
- Utilize expertise in behavioral health to address patient needs effectively
Experience
- Prior experience in psychiatric nursing or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring patient responses
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and patient care protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, assisting patients with mobility, and conducting ophthalmology exams
- Knowledge of inhaling techniques for respiratory treatments
- Experience in working with patients requiring urgent care services
