Job Title: RN Psych
Location: Center Hall, PA
Shift: Nights, 7pm-7:30am
Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $60/hr (Local) to $66/hr (Traveler)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality care to patients in need of psychiatric services.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in psychiatric settings such as urgent care, nursing homes, and behavioral health facilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and assess patients' mental health status and report any changes to the medical team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatments, and coping strategies
- Assist in acute pain management and catheter care for patients with complex needs
- Perform tube feeding and ensure proper nutrition for patients requiring specialized care
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with psychiatric specialty certification
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in acute care or community settings
- Proficiency in providing esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and their families
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $66.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
