What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Modeler position at Highbridge Consulting LLC?
We are looking for a Data Modeller with strong expertise in data governance and architecture, to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data modeling techniques and experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , BigQuery , and Looker . You will work closely with our data engineering team to design and implement scalable data models while ensuring adherence to data governance frameworks and best practices. This role is 3 days a week onsite in Paramus,NJ.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement robust data models (logical, physical, and conceptual) in BigQuery that align with business needs and ensure scalability.
- Collaborate with data architects to optimize data structures, ensuring efficient data flow and integration across the enterprise.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks , including metadata management, data lineage, and data quality standards.
- Implement and enforce data governance best practices , ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Build optimized and user-friendly Looker dashboards and data models that meet the analytical and reporting needs of various teams.
- Monitor and optimize data processes, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across platforms.
- Develop ETL pipelines and data transformations, focusing on BigQuery optimization.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, business, IT) to gather requirements and translate them into efficient data models.
- Document data models, workflows, and governance policies in line with industry standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data modeling best practices and governance principles.
