Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Dental Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental providers during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and education throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health history to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice act standards.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
- Prioritize preparation of treatment rooms, following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with providers and teams to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

Qualifications
- Dental procedures and terminology knowledge.
- Experience working in fast-paced customer-centric environments.
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under state dental practice act).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Access to minimum PHI necessary for job-related functions; regular HIPAA training required.
