Job Description
Seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in migrating data from Oracle to Snowflake creating a high volume replicator (HVR) tool. This role requires a deep understanding of both Oracle and Snowflake technologies and the ability to design and implement the connector between the two systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement data migration solutions from Oracle to Snowflake
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure seamless data integration.
- Develop and maintain data migration scripts and processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data migration and integration.
- Monitor and optimize data migration performance to ensure efficient and timely data transfer.
- Document data migration processes and provide training to team members as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data migration from Oracle to Snowflake
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake databases, including their architecture and data models.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
