Highcrest Capital is an investment advisory firm with its principal place of business in Fredericksburg, Texas. Highcrest Capital was formed in 2014 by our CEO who is also our Co-Chief Investment Officer.
As an registered SEC investment advisory firm, Highcrest Capital offers advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and institutions on a discretionary basis to privately placed pooled investment vehicles. The two private investment funds that Highcrest Capital provides investment advisory services are Highcrest Private Credit Income Fund, L.P. and Highcrest Opportunities Fund, L.P.
The main focus of the two investment strategies is private credit, including but not limited to investing in small business loans, merchant cash advances, asset-backed loans and leases secured by real estate, equipment inventory, receivable, and other form of collateral, loans back by receivable payments and tax credits from the United State Government, credit facilities, and other investment opportunities which could include equity, such as warrants or stock in companies, private equity, and other types of securities relation to companies with which the Funds are doing business.

Highcrest believes the serendipity that from the entire team occupying the same physical space can’t be replicated online and as such, the team collaborates in the office every day in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Opportunity
Highcrest is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Financial Analyst to support the Vice President of Portfolio Analytics to provide accurate information relative to the investment portfolio. This role involves support to a dynamic, fast paced team who has strong excel skills and is able to work with large data sets, building excel models, and with high focus on accuracy while maintaining a professional and high-level work environment.
Responsibilities
· Support the Vice President of Portfolio Analytics, consolidate and present financial data from the investment portfolio for review by senior management.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and supporting analytics to identify trends within the investment portfolio.
· Develop detailed forecast models where assumptions can be easily modified that will support various support scenarios.
· Recommend process improvements specifically related to streamlining and automating reporting.
· Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company in all forms of communication, internally and externally.
· Handle any additional tasks related to supporting business operations, including research, document preparation, and other office duties.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
· At least 2 years of experience serving as a Financial Analyst, or equivalent professional experience.
· Experience as a Financial Analyst in an investment firm is strongly preferred.
· Strong technology skills with proficiency in Excel, MS Office, Python and SQL coding, databases, and financial software applications.
· Build, maintain, trouble shoot, with software developers, the internal financial Company database.
· Exceptional organizational and written communication skills and exacting attention to detail to manage multiple ongoing tasks and ability to meet strict deadlines.
· Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to support other areas of the business (investor relations, investments, operations, etc.).
· Personality Attributes: self-starter, inquisitive and intellectually curious, effectively work with minimal supervision, detailed problem solver/critical thinker, pro-active and resourceful, exceptional communication skills, organized, high energy level.
Compensation Structure:
· Base salary will be commensurate with experience.
