Job Summary
The Outdoor Cultivation Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day cultivation activities on our five farms, ensuring plant health and compliance, leading a team of farm workers, and optimizing processes for high-quality yields. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in outdoor cannabis cultivation, team leadership, and compliance with OLCC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of outdoor cultivation, from propagation to harvest, under the guidance of the Cultivation Director.
- Develop and implement best practices for plant health, pest management, and nutrient programs.
- Lead and manage a cultivation team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain compliance with OLCC regulations.
- Monitor environmental conditions and make data-driven decisions to optimize yields.
- Manage scheduling, workflow, and delegation of responsibilities to cultivation staff.
- Ensure proper documentation of all cultivation activities, including feeding schedules, plant health notes, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with leadership to align cultivation goals with business objectives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit (must be valid at the time of hire).
- 3 years of hands-on experience in outdoor cannabis cultivation.
- Proven experience in team management within a cultivation or agricultural setting.
- Strong understanding of plant biology, nutrient requirements, pest management, and environmental controls.
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with compliance tracking and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regenerative or sustainable farming practices.
- Familiarity with METRC compliance and tracking.
- Experience with farm equipment operation and maintenance.
