Higher Ground Line Builders is a dedicated utility contractor specializing in communication transfers for local power companies. Our team ensures reliable and efficient telecom transfers, working alongside power providers. We are seeking a Telecom Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations and support the growth of our telecom services.
Position Overview
As the Telecom Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency ensuring that communication transfers and related services are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry regulations. You will collaborate with a team of technicians, coordinating schedules, and collaborate with utility & telecom providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support telecom maintenance crews in the field, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop schedule of transfers and ensure locates are submitted and tracked.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Manage material inventory of parts, maintenance tools, and required equipment.
- Work closely with local power companies and utility providers to coordinate communication transfers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in telecom infrastructure maintenance, construction, or a related field. Full or Part-time position.
- Experience with NJUNS is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and train field crews.
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure, including fiber optics, and pole transfers.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and permitting processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Valid/clean driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
