Higher Heights is the political home for Black women’s political leadership. Our work is harnessing the collective organizing power of Black women from the voting booth to elected office. Black women continue to play a pivotal role in America’s democracy the current moment provides an opportunity to build on Higher Heights' impact to influence elections, elect Black women and advance policies.
Higher Heights is embarking on an ambitious strategy to accelerate our work by building a coalition of a million active and engaged members across this country that we can activate 365 days a year to support and harness Black women’s political power and leadership and advance progressive policies and politics through innovative programming.
The Membership Intern will work with Higher Heights’ leadership to design and execute projects to strategize and support a rapidly growing national organization.
The Membership Intern will be involved in implementing new ways to grow and engage Higher Heights’ community of activists, members, stakeholders, partners, and allies through a variety of on and offline programming , and provide day-to-day support for the organization’s digital campaigns. He/She will assist in the development of content across mediums and help manage membership engagement and cultivation from start to finish.

This internship is remote.
The position requires a candidate to be highly collaborative, to function with a high level of autonomy, and to work on multiple projects at once as well as time-sensitive deadlines.

- Assist with content creation and development for the website
- Assist with the curation of digital campaigns and initiatives
- Assist with database management and reporting
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
