Summary
BCS is looking for a New Interior Designer to join our team! As a company, we specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and decks. The ideal candidate would have a thorough understanding of architectural design, such as reading blueprints, drawings, and plans; have experience designing bathrooms and cabinetry; be well versed in selections of tiles, fixtures, paint colors, vanities, etc. The successful candidate must be good with applications & using design programs (Previous experience with Chief architect is required). Interior Designer Responsibilities:
- Walk our clients through the planning & design stage of a project & have a clean handoff to our production team for execution
- Create and present clients’ design options based on client specifications and budget
- Assist clients with making final design selections and complete sign off package drawings
- Buildout construction drawings for production team and update drawings using chief architect software
- Price & present change orders to clients
- Update & Maintain samples
- Maintain clear & timely communication with clients & entire production team
- Prepare construction documents that is used for production team
- Work with production manager or materials/selection ordering
- Attend Weekly meetings to ensure excellent communication
- Keep up to date on latest industry trends by maintaining sample library, meet regularly with design representatives on new products, participating in additional education
Interior Designer Requirements:
- 3 or more years of interior design experience for residential construction
- Experience with producing 2D and 3D drawings using Chief Architect software
- Honors integrity & honesty personally and in the workplace
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & utilizing technology
- Self-motivated & strongly organized to maintain efficiency & productivity
- Desires to better their personal skills with learning & humility, while still taking pride in their work.
- Strong communication skills
- (Experience using Builder trend is not required but a plus)
Job Type:
- Full time OR Part Time
- Daily hours are flexible
- Must be willing to travel locally to vendors, client’s homes, etc.
Pay:
- $25-$35hr
