Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation. This role involves working on-site to clean and restore properties affected by various types of damage, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Assess and evaluate damage to properties caused by water, fire, or mold.
- Proven experience in water damage restoration (minimum 1-3 years required).
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for restoration tasks.
- Perform water extraction and drying procedures to mitigate water damage.
- Conduct fire damage restoration including cleaning and rebuilding affected areas.
- Execute mold remediation processes to ensure safe living conditions.
- Clean carpets and other surfaces as part of the restoration process.
- Follow safety protocols while handling hazardous materials such as asbestos during abatement processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout all projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of restoration projects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in water damage restoration, fire restoration, or mold remediation (1-3 years)
- Ability to work 12-hour shift.
- Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in the restoration industry such as infrared cameras and drying equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials suitable for various surfaces.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.
- Valid driver's license is required for transportation between job sites.
