About the Role
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field and 4-7 years of experience in Transportation/Municipal engineering.
Responsibilities include designing and coordinating roadway, drainage, and utility projects for public and private clients. Collaboration with other groups/disciplines within the company is essential to deliver top-quality projects.
Key Tasks
- Design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation are key aspects of this role.
- Compiling, writing, and editing quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications for projects.
- Assisting with proposals, project budgets, schedules, planning activities, and public involvement.
- Oversight of EITs or Technicians' work.
As you advance in your career, you may also plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- A functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- A Minnesota PE license or the ability to obtain it within six months.
