The Corporate Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls. This role involves managing accounting functions, financial planning, and budgeting while working closely with executive leadership to support strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial reporting standards.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior management.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage external audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure timely completion of financial reviews.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, fostering professional development and efficiency.
- Implement and enhance accounting systems, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
- Oversee tax compliance, including corporate tax filings and regulatory reporting.
- Assist in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 42.
- Experience with month end closing activity, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Manufacturing financial controls.
- Experience with financial risk management and corporate taxation.
