Database Analyst/ Programmer

Description:
Database Analyst/Programmer to provide advanced analytic support and mission-critical services. This role requires expertise in data engineering, visualization, statistical analysis, linear optimization, discrete event simulations, network graph analysis, data literacy training, and machine learning. The candidate will develop and utilize simulations for various operational scenarios, including Unit Identification Code (UIC) assignments, Operational Plans (OPLANs), Time Phased Force Development Data (TPFDDs), training equipment set management, real-time Immediate Reaction Force (IRF) tracking, Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), and reconstitution. Advanced analytics will support and empower the command's decision-making capabilities and facilitate effective computer-aided decision-making processes.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develop and deploy advanced analytic solutions leveraging data engineering, visualization, statistics, simulations, and machine learning.
· Design and execute simulations for operational scenarios such as mobilization, training, equipment tracking, and real-world IRF/LSCO operations.
· Provide comprehensive analytic support to inform and empower decision-making within the command structure.
· Utilize data visualization techniques to facilitate data-driven decision-making and operational clarity.
· Conduct data literacy training sessions as required.
Required Skills:
· Expertise in database systems and data engineering pipelines.
· Proficiency as a full-stack developer orchestrating data architecture solutions in platforms such as Foundry, preferably the Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform.
· Deep understanding and extensive experience in:
- Ontology utilization to represent organizational digital twins (things, relationships, processes).
- Ontology-driven object creation, editing, and permissions management.
- Evaluation and implementation of permissions infrastructure for organizational and leadership access.
- Data health checks creation, management, and oversight.
- Application of appropriate PII/PHI markings and permissions.
- Data lineage evaluation, provenance tracing, and dataset corrections.
- Foundry platform tools including Contour, Workshop, Slate, and code repositories.
- Code repository management, Python transformations, and memory/data management.
· Strong relational database skills, including expertise in SQL queries, primary/foreign keys, and database storage management.
· Comprehensive understanding of ETL (Extract Transform Load) and ELT (Extract Load Transform) processes.
· Proficiency in coding with Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, and TypeScript.
· Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and fluency in Microsoft applications.
· IAT Level II Certification
· Secret Clearance Required.
· U.S. Citizenship required.

· Proven experience in advanced analytics and simulation support within a government or military operational environment.
